Kigali, Saturday 21 November 2020 – President Kagame has on Saturday addressed the first session of the 2020 G20 Leaders’ Summit. President Kagame delivered remarks on behalf of the NEPAD in the dialogue on overcoming the covid – 19 pandemic and restoring economic growth.
President Kagame said that it’s a must to end the covid – 19 pandemic through the rapid and equitable distribution of vaccines in every country of the world, and reminded the importance of charting a pathway back to global growth. He also recommended the G20 for mobilising the resources for the access to Covid – 19 tools accelerator.
The virtual G20 summit that brought together world leaders was organised by Saudi Arabia.
