President Kagame delivers remarks at the ICGLR
Kigali, Friday, 20 November 2020 - President Kagame has on Friday delivered remarks at the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region for Peace, Security, Stability and Development (ICGLR) Heads of State and Government Summit. The 8th ICGLR Summit explored approaches to current issues in the Great Lakes Region including public health and security.
President Kagame said that a collaborative and harmonised approach is the best way to deal with the security and public health challenges facing the Great Lakes. He also commended the progress towards eliminating illegal armed groups in the region, but much remains to be done.
